A To-Do List for ChannelCon

Vendors, distributors, and channel partners will be convening in Chicago Aug. 3 to 5 for CompTIA’s “Minds in Motion” ChannelCon. Read why you should bring comfortable shoes.

If you are packing your bag for next week’s “Minds in Motion” ChannelCon, CompTIA‘s premier event for technology vendors, distributors, and channel partners being held in Chicago, August 3 to 5, here is a “top 10” to-do list suggested by CompTIA:

  1. Participate in Community Day.
  2. Network in the Technology Vendor Fair, where more than 150 exhibitors will showcase channel-focused products and solutions, enablement, and partner initiatives.
  3. Schedule a time to meet with a CompTIA analyst on-site or tweet a question anytime to #ChannelCon15.
  4. Sign up for a complimentary legal consultation with ITLA’s managing attorney Dan Liutikas
  5. Get a professional photo at the Headshot Spot.
  6. Visit the Cybersecure Kiosk in the Think & Drink Lounge to learn about this new Premier Member benefit.
  7. Network at a variety of events.
  8. Attend the Wrigley Field Backstage Pass party on Tuesday.
  9. Visit the Member Center and Trustmark Work Zone to access the new CompTIA Sales Toolkit ($5k value) and receive a $100 discount on your CompTIA Trustmark. All ChannelCon attendees can download a free copy of the Sales Toolkit†beginning Aug. 3 and continuing through Aug. 15. After that it will be available exclusively to CompTIA Premier Members.
  10. Connect with attendees before, during, and after the event on myChannelCon.†

Also, at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, five Chicago tech start-up companies will compete for a cash prize when they enter CompTIA Dragons’ Den. CompTIA says the Dragons’ Den “is a ‘channelized’ spinoff of the popular global TV show where entrepreneurs make their pitch for investments from venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.” All five participants will receive feedback and advice from the ChannelCon judging panel of Dragons. The event is open to all ChannelCon attendees, who will participate in voting for the winning startup.

If you can’t make it to Chicago for CompTIA ChannelCon 2015, you can attend ChannelCon Online for access to two days and two tracks of training and education, plus all of the keynote presentations. Virtual attendees will also receive complimentary access to the new CompTIA Sales Toolkit.
