Cylance Expands its Board with Three New Leaders to Drive Next Phase of Company’s Growth

Cylance adds Kirk Arnold, Michael Capellas, and Joe Maglione to Board of Directors

Cylance Inc., the company that continues to revolutionize the antivirus and endpoint protection industry with AI-powered prevention that blocks advanced cyberattacks including fileless attacks, malware, advanced persistent threats and zero-day attacks, announced the addition of three new members to the board of directors: Kirk Arnold, Michael Capellas, and Joe Maglione.

Kirk Arnold is an experienced CEO and independent board member with a history of leadership in information technology software and services. Ms. Arnold most recently served as CEO at cloud-based applications managed services firm, Data Intensity, LLC, where she drove significant global growth for the company. In addition to serving on multiple boards and advisory committees, she is a lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where she teaches entrepreneurial sales and advanced ventures in the MBA program.

Michael Capellas has spent a lifetime leading and building global technology organizations as CEO, President, and Chairman of a number of public and private enterprises including First Data, MCI, Hewlett-Packard, and Compaq Computer Corporation. He most recently served as Chairman and CEO of VCE, a cloud computing joint venture between Cisco, EMC, and VMWare. He brings extensive expertise in strategy, product development, sales, and finance, as well as in managing complex transactions and organizational challenges, such as mergers and acquisitions. He currently serves on multiple corporate boards including Cisco, Flextronics, Mulesoft, JDA Software, and Solace.

Joe Maglione is the lead independent board member for Cylance’s audit committee. He is currently a partner at Deloitte, where he has served for over 40 years. During his tenure, he has worked with a variety of technology companies, from venture-backed startups to larger later-stage companies in Silicon Valley, including Blackhawk Networks, Flextronics, McAfee, NetApp, Palm and Silicon Graphics. Mr. Maglione has authored two publications for Deloitte, “Financing Business Growth” and “Buying and Selling a Business.” He also updated two other Deloitte publications, “Raising Venture Capital” and “Strategies for Going Public.”
