Corsair Adds a Wireless Headset and PC Case to Vengeance Line

The components manufacturer aims its new performance products at gamers and system builders.

PC components manufacturer Corsair has announced the Vengeance 2000 Wireless 7.1 gaming†headset and Vengeance C70 PC case. These products represent firsts for the company’s popular line — its first Vengeance wireless headset as well as its first Vengeance PC case.

Vengeance 2000 Wireless 7.1 Headset

The Vengeance 2000 7.1 Wireless gaming headset uses 2.4 GHz wireless with battery life up to ten hours and a range up to 40 feet. The headset’s optimized HRTF works with 5.1 and 7.1 audio sources. It also features 50-mm drivers and acoustic tuning for audiophile-grade sound. The Vengeance 2000 employs circumaural, micro-fiber memory foam earpads, and a padded headband.

“Our Vengeance wired headsets have built a loyal following” says Ruben Mookerjee, Corsair’s vice president and general manager. †”The new Vengeance 2000 wireless headset relieves gamers from the hassle of accidentally rolling over cables or ripping their headset connector out of their PCs during the heat of battle.”

Vengeance 2000 7.1 wireless gaming headsets carry a MSRP of $149 and will be made available in June 2012.

Vengeance C70 Gaming Case

The Vengeance C70 computer case has built-in carry handles and a steel front panel for durability. Eight PCI-E slots enable multi-GPU setups, and dual USB 3.0 I/O ports and six SSD-ready hard drive bays (in two removable drive cages) enable performance tuning.

The C70 has up to ten fan mounts, making it suitable for air-cooling systems. Plus, the C70 features room for water-cooling with spots for the Hydro Series H100 or other 240 mm radiators on top. The bottom hard drive cage can also be removed to install a second 240 mm radiator.

“The Vengeance C70 case was designed in an ammo-box style, with an all-steel exterior for extra durability and metal flip-up handles for easy transport to LAN Parties,” Mookerjee explains. “We also made sure that the case had plenty of cooling and expandability options. So, gamers and builders can be assured that the case will accommodate just about anything they can throw at it.”

The case is available in three colors: Arctic White, Gunmetal Black, and Military Green. It carries a MSRP of $139 and is expected in May 2012.
