CompTIA has announced the lineup of speakers and programming for the Vendor Summit it is hosting during this year’s ChannelCon 2016 event August 1 to 3 in Hollywood, Fla. The second annual summit will explore key trends, business challenges, and opportunities in today’s technology market, and runs in parallel with ChannelCon.
Keynote speakers for the ChannelCon Vendor Summit are Tim Curran, CEO of the Global Technology Distribution Council, and Tiffani Bova, former Gartner analyst who is now the global, customer growth, and innovation analyst for Salesforce.com.
Curran will give the summit’s opening keynote, “Transforming in the New Era.” He will discuss trends such as fast-growing product categories, which channel partners are doing the most purchasing, partner attitudes on cloud, new distribution models, and the cost of various routes to market.
Bova’s closing keynote, “Being a High Performing Sales Organization Requires a Hard Reset on Conventional Thinking,” will address what the modern channel sales force will look like in the future.
Other sessions include:
- “What’s Keeping Vendors Up at Night?” A panel of leading vendors will share insights on the critical trends impacting the channel ecosystem. In this interactive session, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss the issues with their vendor partners.
- “Changing Landscape of Distribution.” Executives will discuss how leading distributors are responding to the cloud and other market innovations that have dramatically rearranged the ways in which vendors and the channel operate, make money, and go to market.

CompTIA is a non-profit trade association with approximately 2,000 member companies, 3,000 academic and training partners, 80,000 registered users and more than two million IT certifications issued.
Registration for ChannelCon 2016 opened on June 8.
