‘In Case of Crisis’ App Version 3.0 Now Available

The app offers mobile users current, actionable emergency guidance when and how they need it.

Irving Burton Associates’ In Case of Crisis released its new 3.0 version app in four editions – Corporate, Education, Hospitality, and Government. Helping emergency, security, and risk professionals empower their communities before, during, and after crisis situations, In Case of Crisis 3.0 is available as an iOS and Android app and now includes additional critical emergency and business continuity enhancements, including incident reporting capabilities and a host of new data security features.

Enhancements in the new iPhone and Android versions include:

Incident Reporting: Allows safety personnel, faculty and/or students to be an extra set of eyes during a crisis by quickly filling out and submitting a customizable incident form as events are unfolding. The app properly routes the information immediately including attachments, e.g., photos, to appropriate personnel. Important for corporate organizations, the app offers the ability to file on-the-spot claims and provide post analysis of an event via a customizable form. Incidents like injuries, severe weather, theft, or suspicious packages can be reported via the In Case of Crisis mobile app. All incident reports can be cancelled via a countdown timer.

Major Security Features:

  • Access Control: Offers the ability to designate specific personnel as authorized users on single or multiple plans or make a plan public. If private, authorized users need to create an account within the In Case of Crisis app and then the plan will automatically download.
  • Remote Wipe: Enables plan administrators to remove a plan from any user’s phone. Once a user is removed from the Authorized User List, the plan will automatically delete itself from the user’s phone without any notification.
  • identifiable vs. Anonymous Incident Reporting: Gives plan administrators the option to designate whether incident reports must identify users or can be submitted anonymously.

Customizable Publishing Enhancements: Plans can now be customized based on specific use cases, locations, maps and user access controls. For example, plan administrators can setup plans ranging from specific hazmat procedures for different locations to study abroad programs and seasonal needs such as sporting events where challenges like parking or venue-specific protocols must be addressed.

The In Case of Crisis 3.0 app is available for download via iTunes and Google Play store.
