Solid state drive manufacturer BiTMICRO is off and running with a new line of industrial SATA SSDs. Called the Ace Drive I-Series, the drives are “built to meet industrial requirements for ruggedness and reliability,” according to a press release submitted to Channelpro-SMB.
“We have maxIO SSDs for the highest level enterprise customers and e-disk Altima SSDs for the most demanding military customers. What was missing was a SATA SSD specifically designed for industrial applications,” says Zophar Sante, BiTMICRO’s vice president of worldwide sales and marketing.
The I-Series models are designed to withstand even the most severe industrial environments. BiTMICRO claims the drives offer reliable performance in temperatures ranging from -40∞ to 85∞C and endure shocks (1,500 G), humidity (5%-95%), and vibration (5-500Hz at 3.1G).
The Ace Drive I-Series SATA is available in a standard 2.5-inch form factor in capacities starting at 8 GB up to 1 TB.
Moreover, BiTMICRO designed the I-Series for easy installation and drop-in replacement of traditional hard drives in industrial applications.
Each Ace Drive I-Series SSD supports S.M.A.R.T., Native Command Queuing (NCQ) for up to 32 commands, TRIM command support, and dynamic/static wear leveling for extended endurance. An additional one-key intelligent destruction security feature prevents third-party data retrieval for SMBs in need of added security.
