Built on Intel architecture and boasting improved packet processing performance by up to ten times, Barracuda Load Balancer FDC offers high 40 Gbps at a cost-effective price.
The Barracuda Load Balancer FDC†is a hardware appliance that is designed for virtualized data center environments requiring high throughput traffic distribution across application server infrastructures that consolidate storage and compute resources. It allows organizations to decouple the application access control and application security from the front end device. This architecture enables the front end device to remain focused on network traffic distribution, allowing the application access control and the application security to live closer to the application in the virtual environment.
The Barracuda Load Balancer FDC offers scalability and high availability to enterprise-wide TCP/IP services like web, terminal services, proxy, VPN, streaming media, and e-commerce. It is the traffic distribution layer in Barracuda’s solution that combines the company’s next-generation firewalls for security that can be co-located, migrated, and scaled with virtualized applications.
