The Asus Transformer Book Trio Offers Three Computers in One

Asus Transformer Book Trio works as a laptop, a tablet, or as a PC desktop.

The Asus Transformer Book Trio is three devices in one. It can work as a laptop, a PC desktop, or as a tablet.

Transformer Book Trio is powered by a 4th generation Intel Core processor, and runs Windows 8. With Android Jelly Bean 4.2, Trio switches to an Intel Atom dual-core processor with Intel Hyper-Threading technology for up to five hours battery life in tablet mode and eight in laptop mode. Data can be shared between both operating systems, and users can access files in both laptop and tablet modes.

When Transformer Book Trio’s tablet display is used in tablet mode, the PC Station keyboard dock connects to a monitor or HDTV to become a desktop PC with a built-in keyboard and multi-touch touchpad.

Additional features of the Trio include:

  • 2 GB of tablet RAM with the tablet in Android mode, and 4 GB of RAM from the base laptop when running Windows
  • 11.6-inch full HD IPS display with 1920 x 1080 resolution
  • Up to 1TB HHD
  • ASUS SonicMaster audio, co-developed with Bang & Olufsen ICEpower
  • Rear-facing 5-megapixel camera and a front camera features 720p HD video
  • Apps from both the Windows Store and Google Play
  • 32GB of ASUS Web Storage free for one year
  • 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi in laptop and PC Station modes, and 802.11n in tablet mode
  • USB-to-Ethernet adapter
  • USB 2.0, USB 3.0, micro SD card, micro HDMI, audio jack combo
  • Bluetooth 4.0
