Session delivery network provider Acme Packet has released the latest version of its IP networks migration tool. The updated Palladion 3.0 offers real-time monitoring, troubleshooting, and analysis of service provider IP networks, including IMS, LTE, and consumer and business voice over IP (VoIP).
The monitoring solution Palladion consists of three new management options:
- Communications Operations Monitor – For tracking network signaling and media and enable detailed troubleshooting capabilities
- Fraud Detection & Prevention – For the discovery and prevention of voice fraud.
- Control Plane Monitor – For tracking and troubleshooting Diameter signaling traffic in IMS and LTE networks.
In addition, an embedded probe leverages vendor-neutral network probes to monitor any type of VoIP network via a Web-based interface. The probes are also available as a software component integrated into a session border controller (SBC), which reduces network complexity and total cost of ownership.
Additional features of the Palladion 3.0 include:
- Real-time, end-to-end call correlation and analytics.
- Segmentation of the network path for problem localization.
- Instant troubleshooting.
- Historical and current session data.
- Media quality analysis, including R Factor and MOS value.
- Insight and analysis of signaling messages.
- On-demand scoring and fraud alerts.
- Vendor-agnostic compatibility across VoIP protocol stacks.
- Probe availability on Acme Packet’s Net-Net Session Director and third-party hardware.
“Acme Packet’s instant fraud detection, real-time troubleshooting of call quality issues, deep drill-down into media, SIP signaling, and Diameter, as well as innovative probe design will deliver a full view of any type of IP network to service providers,” says Acme Packet CTO Pat MeLampy.
