Acer Unveils TravelMate Spin B1 Convertible Notebook

The latest addition to the TravelMate line boasts a versatile and robust design for day-to-day use in the classroom.

PC manufacturer Acer has unveiled the TravelMate Spin B1 (B118), its latest convertible notebook for education customers. The 11.6-inch notebook with Windows 10 Pro is sized for easy portability, and its 360-degree hinge allows four usage modes (stand, tent, tablet, and laptop). Built to withstand knocks, drops, and spills, the notebook includes a pressure-resistant screen, shock-absorbent rubber bumper, and spill-resistant keyboard.

Powered by Intel Pentium processors and Intel HD Graphics, the TravelMate Spin B1 sports up to 13 hours of battery life, enabling students to learn without interruption, inside and outside the classroom.

The notebook’s stylus, which supports Windows Ink, allows users to easily jot down notes, edit Microsoft Word documents, and interact with apps and draw. Students can stay connected to their school network with dual-band 2×2 MIMO 802.11ac wireless connectivity. The device connects to peripherals via Bluetooth 4.0, two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, and one HDMI port. Students can plug in their headphones with the 3.5mm head phone jack, while files can be shared with the built-in SD card reader.

The new Acer TravelMate Spin B1 will be available to education and commercial customers in Q2 2017. To learn more about availability, product specifications, and pricing, visit www.acer.com.
