i365 Rolls Out SMB Version of EVault ‘Plug-n-Protect’ Appliance

Data protection provider releases pre-configured, software-laden version of its “all in one” backup and recovery product.

i365 Inc. is targeting SMBs with a new “Small Business” edition of it EVault Plug-n-Protect †product.

i365, a Seagate company, provides solutions for the protection, retention, and discovery of electronic information. The company bills its EVault Plug-n-Protect product as “an all-in-one backup and recovery appliance”

The Small Business edition of th EVault Plug-n-Protect includes 3 TB of useable storage capacity. More importantly, it comes with pre-configured hardware and a complete suite of EVault software for “customers who have limited IT resources.”

The EVault Plug-n-Protect appliance can be managed via an intuitive web-based user control, EVault CentralControl, which enables back-up jobs to be scheduled and managed throughout the entire organization.

SMBs were an important market on which to focus, says i365 managing director Keith Gnagey, because so many of them “overlook” data protection due to “cost and complexity.”

“We are pleased to be able to offer a version specifically tailored to those small to medium sized organizations needing a simple, affordable way to get enterprise-level protection, no matter what size

The EVault Plug-n-Protect appliance is available through i365 or one of its approved partners.
