Sage’s Timberline Enterprise Software Hits the Market
Business management tool is designed to help “specialty contractors” integrate accounting with operational workflow.
Software developer Sage North America has introduced its Sage Timberline Enterprise business processes management solution for contractors.
According to Sage, Timberline Enterprise is “specifically designed for service and specialty contractors looking for a solution that integrates core accounting and operational workflows.”
Sage Business Solutions executive vice president Robert Deshaies says contractors are forever looking for ways to improve processes and efficiency. “This new software answers contractors’ immediate need to better integrate their accounting and operational processes for greater efficiency of and visibility into their business performance,” he says. “At the same time,” he adds, “Sage Timberline Enterprise is scalable and flexible to meet contractors’ future needs as their businesses continue to grow.”
Some of the features of Sage Timberline Enterprise include:
- Interactive and intuitive Workspaces for accessing data
- Process Maps for customizable, visual representations of tasks
- Integration with other business apps (i.e., accounting, service management, job management, estimating), helping to eliminate data input redundancy
- Dispatch Board, which assigns technicians to tasks
- Scalable platform based on Microsoft SQL Server that integrates data between all core, optional, and integrated partner applications (e.g. mobile solutions, web-based services, and human resource management portals)
“Companies must operate in a more efficient, nimble manner to win their share of business and deliver it at a profit,” says Laurie McCabe, partner, Hurwitz and Associates and SMB Group. “Technologies such as Sage Timberline Enterprise help companies accomplish these objectives by helping them streamline workflows and tailor processes to fit their requirements.”
Sage Timberline Enterprise is available on a limited basis now and will be generally available in Fall 2010.
