WebSearch is browser-based document management software for collaboration, email archiving, and compliance. The program was developed for use throughout a business’s operations to enable secure content access from any location. Searches may be performed using document specific metadata descriptions, full text content, as well as date ranges, search history, search list,s and saved searches.
Documents of any file type may be uploaded directly to WebSearch and indexed (with additional document identifying metadata added remotely if necessary) for native format storage. WeSearch 4.2 stores metadata in the SQL database and updates the database when metadata is edited, providing backup of content.
The new additions to WebSearch equip SMBs with decision-making tools via automated systems for organizing project information. According to DocuLex, each staffer on a given project will be able to have certain types of information sent to them. Moreover, they will be notified when action is needed and documents have been given added information or have seen revisions.
The Active Directory integration of WebSearch enables heightened security and user permission access and tracking. The program manages multiple levels of security, including organization, community, group, users, and individual files. Document and user activity tracking logs are always available, assisting in compliance of privacy laws including SEC, FINRA, GLBA, HIPAA, FRCP, FERC, and Sarbanes Oxley.
